I would appreciate knowing if there is any way a non-resident can help your effort. I live in Evanston and for years have walked regularly in Crow Island Woods, looking for flowers and watching for birds. I’ve seen Indigo Buntings, nuthatches, Northern Flickers, many many goldfinches, and last year was thrilled by the Great Horned Owl. Crow Island has the best patch of jacks-in-the-pulpit in the area, as well as red trillium, marsh marigolds, buttercups, and many other wildflowers. The giant ferns on the east side are are a welcome sight every spring.

Crow Island Woods is a unique habitat, and I would hate to see it destroyed. I deeply thank you for your efforts,
